Our Roots

The Green Park is not just a vineyard; it is our "vocation" that grew into a soul defining obsession. When we took over these thirty year old vines in the Osmington hamlet, we weren't just buying land, we were stepping into a lineage of farmers who worked this alluvial loam long before us.

It hasn't been the romantic pastoral dream the movies promise. It has been a masterclass in resilience. We've traded spreadsheets for soil samples and boardrooms for broken tractors. We've navigated the steep learning curve of viticulture amidst broken wires, water leaks, machinery that seems to have a mind of its own, and the raw, sometimes life-threatening realities of working the land. We have mourned the loss of loyal pets and celebrated the miracle of birth within the span of these 27 hectares.

Why do we do it?

We do it for the moment the work pauses. When the cooling southerly winds kick in and we sit together as a family to watch the sky turn into a vivid, artistic masterpiece. Those western sunsets over the Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet vines remind us why we squeeze this life into the margins of our "day jobs."

We are breathing new life into old vines, and in return, they are teaching us what it means to truly be rooted.
